Launched in September 2015, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno has been receiving excellent response from car buyers in India. It is currently the top-selling premium hatchback in the country, beating Elite i20 with little margin. The car is available with 1.2-litre petrol and 1.3-litre diesel engines, paired to a 5-speed manual gearbox (CVT with petrol only). The hatchback will rival the Volkswagen Polo GT TSI and the Ford Figo 1.5.
