Maruti Baleno Achieves 6.5 lakh Sales Milestone in 4 Years
Launched in October 2015, the Maruti Suzuki Baleno is one of the most successful premium hatchbacks in the Indian market. Retailed via Maruti Suzuki’s premium sales and service network – NEXA, the hatchback has reached yet another milestone of 6.5 lakhs happy customer in just 4 years. The premium hatchback is also the best-selling model in its category, beating the likes of Hyundai Elite i20 and the Honda Jazz.
Maruti Suzuki had introduced the Baleno with the new generation Smart Hybrid technology in January 2019. It comes with Idle Start Stop system and power re-generation. Baleno is also country’s first BS6 compliant premium hatchback.

The Maruti Baleno is the fastest premium hatchback to reach the 6-lakh milestone in the country. It is available through over 360 NEXA dealerships in more than 200 cities and towns across India. The hatchback is equipped with modern features like new 7-inch SmartPlay touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, automatic climate control, multi-functional steering wheel, etc. The Maruti Baleno is currently available in 3 engine options – a 1.2-litre K-Series petrol, a 1.2-litre DualJet petrol with SHVS mild-hybrid system and a 1.3-litre DDiS diesel. The company will stop selling the Baleno diesel in early 2020.
