Filling pride in every Indian, the morning of ‘Republic Day’ starts with the echoes of patriotism on the 26th of January every year. To celebrate the occasion, a grand parade is organized at Rajpath, in New Delhi that showcases India’s cultural and social heritage along with its valiant defence capability. This year, for the first time, Skill India also participated in the Republic Day parade. India’s leading car maker, Maruti Suzuki India also got featured in the Skill India tableaux where its most selling ‘Alto’ model was put on display.
The Skill India project was launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi as one of his ambitious initiatives for the better India. Carrying a tag like ‘Kaushal Bharat, Kushal Bharat (Skilled India, Successful India), the initiative focuses on training as many as 40 crore people in India in various skill.

Launched in July 2015, the Skill India project will aims to skill a large number of people by 2022. The initiative also includes National Skill Development Mission, Pradhan Mantri Kaushal VikasYojanascheme (PMKVY), Notional Policy for Skill Development and Enterpreneurship 2015 and Skill loan scheme.

Coming to Maruti Alto, it is one of the most selling models from Maruti Suzuki in India that chips in a huge chunk of sales in the mini hatchback segment. Launched first in the early 2000s, Alto has undergone multiple facelifts and additions over the years. Its mundane styling, affordable pricing and reliable engine set up makes for a viable mini-hatchback meant for the first time buyers. Moreover, it offers impressive mileage and demands low cost for maintenance.
