Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, has launched special edition of its top-selling Alto in the country. The special edition of the Alto 800 and the Alto K10 are introduced in association with the biopic ‘MS Dhoni – the Untold Story’. Speaking at the launch, R S Kalsi, executive director at Maruti Suzuki said, “MS Dhoni with his determination, successful leadership and hard work has achieved iconic stature. Maruti Suzuki Alto too is India’s most loved car and an icon amongst automobiles. Alto appeals to customers for its design, performance, high fuel efficiency and affordable cost. Alto and MS Dhoni share great synergy for their unique qualities. This association will help to connect Alto even stronger with the customers”.
The Maruti Alto special editions come with few goodies over the standard fare. The Alto 800 special edition is available with the LXi trim, while the Alto K10 MS Dhoni edition is offered on the VXi trim. The vehicles get new body decals with Dhoni’s signature and a rear spoiler. The Indo-Japanese automaker is also offering a Dhoni inspired merchandise kit on both the editions. The interiors of the Maruti Alto MS Dhoni Editions are offered in two colour combinations – Black & Silver and Red & Blue. Other accessories include steering wheel cover, door sill guards, ambient lighting and carpets. The car also gets a bar graph display for the parking sensors, an ‘interior styling kit in carbon colour’ and new seat covers with number ‘7’. Adding to it, the Alto 800 MS Dhoni edition comes with a 1-DIN music system that supports MP3, USB and AUX inputs.

The special edition features add Rs 12,777 to the Alto 800 LXi price and Rs 16,888 to the Alto K10 VXi price. These new models will be available across all Maruti Suzuki outlets from the first week of October, 2016. Adding to it, MSI is also introduced a new contest on Twitter and Facebook with the hashtag #DriverByPassion. The contest winners will get a chance to meet MS Dhoni and the Cast of the movie.
