Mahindra Y400 Launch Details

Mahindra Y400 flagship SUV will challenge the Toyota Fortuner & Ford Endeavour

We informed you earlier that Mahindra will launch an all-new 7-seater premium SUV in the Indian market before Diwali 2018. Codenamed Y400, the SUV is likely to be called Mahindra XUV700 or Mahindra Rexton. According to ACI, the brand’s flagship SUV will go on sale in the market on October 9, 2018. To be positioned above the XUV500, the new model will come as a replacement for the first-gen SsangYong Rexton.

The Mahindra Y400 was first showcased to media and public at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. In fact, the company has also revealed the SUV to the public at its annual group meeting in Mumbai. This SUV is basically the re-badged SsangYong’s global SUV – Rexton. In India, it will take on the likes of Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour, Isuzu MU-X, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport and the upcoming Honda CR-V.
