Mahindra Xylo with minor upgrades launched

Mahindra Xylo facelift

Mahindra has silently launched the upgraded version of the Xylo MPV in the country. With an aim to improve its sales in festive season, the company has given some mechanical tweaks, subtle changes and additional features to the Xylo.

The Xylo facelift is now offered in five trim levels- D2, D4, H4, H8 and H9. The base BSIII variant is priced at Rs. 7.52 lakh, while the BSIV variant is tagged at Rs. 7.66 lakh. It is offered in two diesel engine options. The entry level trims- D2 and D4 are powered by a 2.5-litre CRDe diesel engine producing 93.7bhp. The other three variants are propelled by 2.2-litre mHawk diesel motor that also powers the Scorpio and Safari Storme. Power is transmitted to rear wheels of the car via a 5MT320 five-speed manual transmission gearbox. The company has slightly tweaked the suspension setup to offer comfortable driving and higher stability.

The exterior of the Xylo facelift now features a slightly modified front and rear fascia with added chrome garnish. It also gets restyled alloy wheels, body graphics and new roof rails. Inside the cabin, the MPV features a new black-beige interior scheme with new upholstery. For passengers’ entertainment, the vehicle has an advanced 2-din audio system with voice command and Bluetooth connectivity. Adding to it, the vehicle sports new instrument cluster and multi-functional steering wheel with audio and cruise controls. The third row seats are now 60:40 flexible types, while the ORVMs can be electrically adjustable. On safety front, the updated Xylo gets dual airbags, ABS with EBD and reversing assist.
