Mahindra XUV700 Waiting Period Goes Down – September 2022

It’s been a year when the Mahindra XUV700 went on sale in India. Ever since its launch, the SUV has been high in-demand that’s pilled up booking orders and increased its waiting period up to 2 years (in May 2022). However, the carmaker now managed to reduced its waiting period by 3 months. Now, the model commands a waiting period of up to 16 months (vary variant-wise).

The MX, AX3 and AX5 petrol variants can be had within 2-3 months, while their diesel models have a waiting period of up to 10 months. The range-topping Mahindra XUV700 AX7 petrol and diesel variants are observing a waiting period of up to 15 months and AX7 L commands a waiting period of up to 16 months. Dealers revealed that the company is dispatching around 6,000 units of the SUV on monthly basis.

Currently, Mahindra & Mahindra has an order backlog of over 2 lakh units including over 1 lakh bookings for the new Mahindra Scorpio N and 1 lakh for its other SUVs. In August 2022, the company manufactured and dispatched 29,000 units as opposed to 18,000 – 19,000 units of the last year same month. The home-gown automaker aims to further increase its production capacity in the month of November.

Talking about Mahindra XUV700 comes with a 2.0L, 4-cylinder turbo petrol and a 2.2L, 4-cylinder turbo mHawk diesel engine. The gasoline unit makes a top power of 200bhp and 380Nm of torque. The oil burner comes in two states of tune – 155bhp with 360Nm (for the entry-level variants) and 185bhp with 420Nm (MT)/450 (AT) (for the higher trims). Both manual and automatic gearboxes are on offer. The SUV’s diesel version offers four drive modes – Zip, Zap, Zoom and Custom. It’s also available with AWD (all-wheel drive) system. The XUV700 model lineup comes in two series – MX and AX (AdrenoX).
