Mahindra XUV700 SUV Caught Doing 170kmph+ Top Speed
Under the bonnet of the Mahindra XUV700 is a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 187bhp of power and 420Nm of torque.
Homegrown UV maker, Mahindra will launch the all-new flagship SUV – codenamed Y400 – in India on November 19, 2019. Likely to be called the Mahindra XUV700, the SUV will be brand’s most expensive SUV to take on Toyota Fortuner, Ford Endeavour and the recently launched Honda CR-V. The SUV has already been spotted several times, revealing most of the design highlights and interior details. The Mahindra XUV700 was caught testing on the highways of Karnataka. It was chased by Tata Hexa occupants, who recorded the entire video. One point of time, the 7-seater SUV was caught doing speeds of over 170kmph which is quite fast for a big 7-seater SUV. Not only high speeds, the XUV700 was seen doing quick lane changes and fast acceleration. The entire video gives us an idea about the high performance of this SUV. The XUV700 is based on the SsangYong Rexton and will be assembled at the company’s Chakan based plant. This SUV will be positioned above the XUV500 and will be equipped with several high-end features. Some of the high-end features include 9 airbags, hill launch assist, ESP, traction control, 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, leather seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, etc. Under the bonnet is a 2.2-litre diesel engine that produces 187bhp of power and 420Nm of torque. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
