Mahindra XUV700 Spied; Longer & Wider Than Toyota Fortuner

Mahindra XUV700 is 55mm longer and 105m wider than the Toyota Fortuner.

Mahindra XUV700 SUV, which is currently in its final testing phase, was recently snapped with minimal camouflage in Delhi. Painted in White shade, the SUV features LED automatic headlamps, 5-spoke dual tone alloy wheels, LED taillamps and a powered tailgate. The pronounced wheel arches and bold side creases enhance its muscular side looks.

Compared to the Toyota Fortuner, the XUV700 is 55mm longer and 105m wider. Though, the former is 35mm taller than the latter. While Mahindra’s 7-seater SUV measures 4,850mm in length, 1,960mm in width and 1,800 in height, the Toyota Fortuner is 4,795mm long, 1,855mm wide and 1,835mm tall. Interior of the new Mahindra SUV will be packed with several comfort and connectivity features. The leather upholstery and ambient lighting add more to its premium appeal. The SUV will also have multiple advanced safety fitments such as nine airbags, ESC (electronic stability control), active roll-over protection, advanced emergency braking, hill descent control, etc.

Under the skin, the Mahindra XUV700 gets a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that will come with a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed automatic transmission options. The turbocharged oil burner is good for 187bhp and a peak torque of 420Nm. Read – Upcoming Mahindra Cars In India

The home-grown carmaker might launch the 7-seater SUV during 2018 festive season. It’s based on the new-generation SsangYong Rexton that was globally introduced in 2017. With Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour in its sight, the Mahindra XUV700 is estimated to come in the price range of Rs 20 – Rs 25 lakh (ex-showroom).
