The Mahindra XUV400 is reportedly to measure around 4.2 meters in length, as compared to the 3,995mm long XUV300 compact SUV. The bigger size will allow Mahindra to create more space inside the cabin as well as bigger boot. Set to rival the new Tata Nexon EV Max and the MG ZS EV, the Mahindra XUV400 is expected to come with several segment-first features including ADAS tech. The teaser reveals that the new electric SUV will have the new bronze logo, which was showcased on the XUV.e and BE Born electric range.

The latest teaser shows the charging socket that is positioned behind the right-hand-side rear door. The overall styling of the XUV400 is heavily inspired by the eXUV300 concept, which was unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. However, it comes with more modern styling elements inspired by the new breed of Mahindra SUVs.

The front fascia of the XUV400 electric has sharp LED headlamps with inverted L-shaped integrated LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lights). Also visible are the Mahindra Twin Peaks logo placed right in the middle of the closed-off front grille with X-shaped inserts. The SUV is expected to come with revised tailgate and newly-styled taillamp clusters.

Inside the cabin, the new Mahindra XUV400 is expected to get a larger touchscreen infotainment system with Adreno X connected car AI technology. The SUV is expected to come with several advanced features including the ADAS (advanced driver assistance system). The SUV will use the high-energy-dense NMC battery sourced from LG Chem. It is reported that the cells are superior than the cylindrical LFP cells used in Tata’s Nexon EV. It is expected to deliver a range of over 400km on a full charge.
