Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport Prices Out – Fastest, Most Powerful

After introducing the new Scorpio, Mahindra has now launched the new XUV300 TurboSport in the Indian market. The new Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport is available in 3 trim levels – W6 TGDi, W8 TGDi and W8(O) TGDi – priced between Rs 10.35 lakh and Rs 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes with a new 1.2-litre T-GDI turbo-petrol engine, which makes it the most powerful & fastest in its segment. The SUV is also offered with the existing 1.2L turbo petrol and 1.5L turbo diesel engines. It is positioned against the likes of the Hyundai Venue N-Line, Kia Sonet X-Line and the new Maruti Brezza.

The overall styling of the XUV300 looks largely identical to the regular model. The front fascia comes equipped with a new glossy black grille with red inserts. The chrome inserts on the central air intake on the front have been blacked out. With new variant, Mahindra has also added the new Twin Peaks logo to the XUV300 nameplate. The homegrown SUV maker has also introduced three new dual-tone colour options – Bronze with Black roof, White with Black roof and Black with White roof.

Inside the cabin, the new XUV300 TurboSport gets an all-black interior scheme with contrasting red stitching on the upholstery. The company has also added silver accents on the dashboard and steering wheel. As a reference, the existing model gets dual-tone black and beige interior. The top-spec XUV300 TurboSport W8 (O) variant is equipped with features like an electric sunroof, projector headlamps with LED daytime running lamps, dual-zone climate control, leatherette upholstery & 6 airbags. The SUV rides on 16-inch alloy wheels. It features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay & Android Auto along with connected car tech.

Powering the new XUV300 T-GDi is a 1.2-litre 3-cylinder, turbo petrol engine that debuted at the 2020 Auto Expo. It is capable of producing 130bhp and 230Nm of torque, and the torque rises to 250Nm with overboost function. Power is transmitted to the front wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. It features a 250bar GDI (gasoline direct injection) fuel system that is claimed to improve performance and fuel efficiency. It is claimed to achieve 0 to 60kmph in less than 5 seconds, which also makes it the fastest SUV in the category.

To improve the fuel efficiency & reduce C02 emissions, the new Mahindra XUV300 TurboSport’s 1.2L T-GDi engine comes with a mild-hybrid start-stop system. It is claimed to offer an ARAI certified fuel economy of 18.2kmpl. Compared to the existing 1.2L turbo-petrol MPFI engine, the new engine offers 20bhp and 30Nm more power and torque respectively. It continues to be offered with 110bhp, 1.2L turbo petrol and a 115bhp, 1.5L turbo-diesel engines.
