Mahindra XUV300 Petrol in High Demand; Accounts 33% of Total Sales

Mahindra XUV300 subcompact SUV has been doing really well for the home-grown carmaker in India. The carline comes in a total of 11 variants including 4 petrol, 4 diesel and 3 automatic diesel. The petrol models of the Mahindra XUV3000 have seen the maximum demand, accounting for 33% of the total sales in the second quarter of fiscal year 2020. In the first quarter, its sales figure stood at 25%.

Powering the Mahindra XUV300 is a 1.2L turbocharged engine dishing out a peak power of 110bhp with 200Nm of torque. The diesel variant derives power from a 1.5L, 4-cylinder engine that returns a claimed power of 115bhp with 300Nm of torque. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual and Marelli-sourced 6-speed automatic.

Mahindra XUV300 Compact SUV

The carmaker will soon upgrade the Mahindra XUV300 model lineup to the BS6 emission norms. Reports suggest that the BS6-compliant petrol version of the subcompact SUV will also witness a minor power jump. With the upgrade, it will become 20PS more powerful and 30Nm torqueier than its BS4-compliant version.

The W4, W6, W8 and W8 (O) petrol variants are currently available at Rs 8.10 lakh, Rs 8.95 lakh, Rs 10.40 lakh and Rs 11.64 lakh respectively. Prices of the diesel models range between Rs 8.69 lakh – Rs 12.69 lakh. All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.
