Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that it will launch the all-new XUV300 compact SUV in India on 14th February, 2019. Pre-bookings for the vehicle have already been commenced at a token of Rs 20,000. Veejay Ram Nakra, Chief of Sales & Marketing, M&M Ltd. has confirmed that the Mahindra XUV300 will take on the SUVs priced in range of Rs 8 lakh – Rs 12 lakh (ex-showroom). In the compact SUV space, the Mahindra XUV300 will take gun up straight against the Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza, Ford EcoSport and Tata Nexon.

The Mahindra XUV300 underpins the SsagnYong Tivoli platform, though it has been modified to make it sub-4-meter in length. The carmaker claims that its new compact SUV has the longest and widest wheelbase in its league. Inside, the SUV has dual-tone (Brown and Beige) interior theme with features such as a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with navigation function. Interestingly, the Mahindra XUV300 will be the most powerful car its category. Its petrol version comes with a 1.2L turbocharged motor generating 200Nm of torque, and the diesel model gets the Marazzo’s 1.5L unit producing 123bhp and 300Nm of torque. Both powertrains will be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox only.
