Mahindra XUV300 Electric SUV To Debut At 2020 Auto Expo
Mahindra & Mahindra will soon bring in the electric iteration of the XUV300 subcompact SUV. According to a media report, the carmaker will showcase the production-ready Mahindra XUV300 electric SUV (codenamed S201) at the 2020 Auto Expo that will be held from 7th to 12th February in Greater Noida.
The company has already confirmed that the Mahindra XUV300 electric will deliver a range of 300km (185 miles) on a single charge. There will be two variants β standard and long-range version. The former will promise an electric range of up to 200km.
The electric iteration of the XUV300 will be packed with a new electric engine along with a Lithium-Ion battery developed in collaboration with Korean battery manufacturer – LG Chem. The long-range Mahindra XUV300 electric will come with a 40kWh battery pack and an electric motor delivering power around 130bhp. It will support DC fast charging. In terms of design and styling, the Mahindra XUV300 electric will look similar to the regular model. Though, it might receive minor cosmetic upgrades. Itβs likely to be based on the range-topping W trim and offer a range of new comfort and connectivity features.
Currently, the Mahindra XUV300 is available in the price range of Rs 8.10 lakh β Rs 12.69 lakh (ex-showroom). The vehicle comes with the BS6-compliant 1.2 L petrol and BS4 1.5L diesel engines delivering power 110bhp with 200Nm and 115bhp with 300Nm respectively.
