Mahindra Bolero

Mahindra has been testing the U301 SUV (reportedly the next-gen Bolero) for quite sometime on Indian roads. Set to go on sale by the end of this year, the SUV will be offered in a couple of body styles- a sub-4 metre compact SUV and a seven-seater MPV form. Folks at MotorOctane have managed to click the first clear images of the interiors of the Mahindra U301 SUV.

The sub-4m utilitarian SUV is expected to be based on the shorter platform of the Scorpio. The interior pictures reveal that the dashboard gets a combination of silver and chrome inserts. The instrument cluster features a couple of chrome-ringed dials that resembles the XUV500. Also visible is a new three-spoke steering wheel with controls for audio. The central air-conditioning vents and stereo is designed into a polygon shape. Also on offer are the USB and AUX-in ports, along with a 12v charging point.

The spotted model features a manual gearbox. Interestingly, the company will also introduce the AMT-equipped variant of the Mahindra U301 Bolero. The same automated manual transmission, showcased at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show, will also be on offer on the Quanto facelift. The top-spec model is expected to get rear air conditioning vents, Anti-Lock braking system and dual front airbags.
