Mahindra & Mahindra has been testing an elongated version of the TUV300 compact SUV for a while. Called the Mahindra TUV300 Plus, the new model looks exactly similar to the standard model. Though, it gets a longer wheelbase along with minor design updates. While the official launch of the TUV300 Plus is a few months away, price of its P4 nine-seater variant has been leaked on the web.
According to a latest report, the TUV300 Plus P4 (nine-seater) will come with a price tag of Rs 9.46 lakh (ex-showroom). The elongated iteration of the SUV will be made available in multiple seating configurations. This new model will be introduced as replacement to the aging Xylo. Visually, the TUV300 Plus appears exactly similar to the standard model, but more balanced in proportions. Minor design changes have been made to the rear profile of the car. It gets revised taillamp design extending to the sides.
The interior design and features, too, have been carried over from the shorter TUV300. It has the same dual-tone Black and Beige cabin theme and four-spoke steering wheel. The range-topping variant could be exclusively offered with a touchscreen infotainment system. The spy pictures confirm that the TUV300 Plus will be a nine-seater SUV with two bench seats in the last row.
The longer version of the TUV300 is expected to use the same 1.5-litre, four-cylinder diesel engine that powers the shorter TUV300. Rumour also has it that Mahindra might offer the 2.2-litre powertrain on the vehicle. It’s the same engine that does duty on the Scorpio and XUV500.
