We have been constantly informing you about the upcoming long-wheelbase version of the TUV300 compact SUV. Called the Mahindra TUV300 Plus, the new model is expected to be launched in the next few days. In fact, Mahindra has already started dispatching the SUV to dealerships for customer preview and testing. Ahead of its official launch, brochure scans of the SUV have been leaked on the internet.

The TUV300 Plus is basically a stretched version of the sub-4 meter SUV. However, this model measures above 4 meter in length and measures 4,400mm in length, 1,835mm in width and 1,812mm in height. However, the wheelbase of the car remains the same measuring 2,680mm. The upcoming SUV will come with multiple seating options, including 9 people and has a 60-litre fuel tank. Previous reports claim that the TUV300 Plus will be made available in a single P4 variant. Going by the pictures available on the web, the design of the new model is similar to the TUV300. The design highlights include 5-slat grille, sweptback headlights, and rectangular air-dam and squared-off wheel arches. However, it comes with a larger 3rd-row glass area. The extended rear section gives it a MPV-ish profile. Adding to it, the rear gets new wraparound tail-lights and new tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The SUV comes with simple dual-tone cabin. The third row comes with side-facing seats that can seat up to four people. Talking about features, the SUV gets power & tiltable steering, power windows, central locking, air-conditioner with heater, internally adjustable ORVMs, 12V charging points and vinly seat upholstery.

The Mahindra TUV300 Plus is powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that also powers the Scorpio. Just to inform you, the regular TUV300 is equipped with a 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine that produces 100bhp. On the other side, the 2.2L engine is capable of producing 120bhp of power at 4,000rpm and a peak torque of 280Nm at 1,800-2,800rpm. For passengers’ safety and security, the SUV gets engine immobilizer, child locks, seat belt warning display, door ajar warning display, anti-theft steering lock, side intrusion beams and crash protection. The Mahindra TUV300 Plus will be offered in four exterior paint jobs – Bold Black, Majestic Silver, Dynamo Red and Glacier White.
