To benefit its off-road credentials, the roof of the Mahindra Thar comes fitted with a wide LED bar for night driving. It also comes with optional automatic and fixed sunroof. At the back, the SUV gets a tail-mounted tyre with high-lift jack. The tail-light unit is now all-LED and the headlamp is also an LED unit. The cabin has also been revised, featuring new bucket seats; however, the rear bench seats remain unchanged. The cabin also has new leather touch that gives it a premium feel. Mechanically, this modified Mahindra Thar remains the same. It is powered by the existing 2.5-litre CRDe diesel engine that produces 105bhp of power and 247Nm of torque between 1,800rpm – 2000rpm. Power is transmitted to all-4 wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox.
