Mahindra Scorpio N 6-Seater Interior Photos Released – Key Features

After releasing the exterior images, Mahindra has now released the interior images of the much-awaited new-gen Scorpio N. The new Mahindra Scorpio N is scheduled to be launched in the country on June 27, 2022. This day also marks the 20 years of the Scorpio nameplate in our market.

Mahindra is marketing the new-gen model as the ‘Big daddy of SUVs’ and this is also evident from the latest set of images. The new model is significantly bigger than the current model. In fact, it is bigger than the Tata Safari. The new Mahindra Scorpio N comes with a more up-market design and feature-loaded, premium interior. The new model comes with several comfort and convenience features, high-end tech and a host of safety features.

The new Scorpio comes equipped with multiple comfort and convenience features for both driver and passengers. The SUV offers a high driving position and two-seating configurations – 6 and 7 seats. The former will have captain seats in the second row, while the 7-seater model will get bench-type seats in the 2nd and 3-row. The 6 and 7-seater variants 3rd row seats get 50:50 and 60:40 split function respectively.

The new Mahindra Scorpio N seats come with height adjustable seat belts. Moreover, the driver gets electrically adjustable seat with lumbar seat. It comes with a large 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system powered by AdrenoX, which we have already seen on the new XUV700. It also supports Alexa connectivity along with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support.

Mahindra has sourced AdrenoX tech with Bosch and it offers over 60 connected features with access on both smartphone and smart-watches via AdrenoX connectivity application. For passengers’ entertainment, the new Scorpio N will offer a Sony-sourced 12-speaker system with 3D sound staging.

The new Mahindra Scorpio N comes with dual-tone black and brown interior scheme with central console having a touchscreen infotainment unit, AC controls and other switchgears. The brown leather treatment is visible on the centre part of the dashboard, on the seats and on the door panels.

In terms of features, the SUV gets an electric sun-roof, multi-functional flat-bottom steering wheel, leatherette upholstery for seats, leather wrapped steering wheel and gear lever, an LED cabin light, etc.

It comes with a semi-digital instrument console, a dual-zone climate control, air vents for all 3-rows, wireless charger, cruise control and others. The SUV won’t receive ADAS features, which are offered in the XUV700. It will also get the front facing third-row seats instead of the side-facing bench seats in the current model.

The new Mahindra Scorpio N will come equipped with a wide range of safety and security features. Feature list includes ABS with EBD, multiple airbags, 360 degree camera, traction control, tyre pressure monitoring system, hill descent control and others.

The leaked info reveals that the new Mahindra Scorpio is significantly bigger than the outgoing model. It measures 4,662mm in length, 1,917mm in width, 1,870mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,750mm. The SUV has a ground clearance of about 205mm. It is around 206mm longer, 97mm wider and 125mm shorter than the current model. In fact, the wheelbase is increased by 70mm.

The new Scorpio N will be offered with two engine options – a 2.2L mHawk turbo diesel and a 2.0L mStallion petrol. The former is good for 172bhp and 370Nm of torque (400Nm with automatic gearbox), while the petrol unit produces 197bhp. Transmission options include a 6-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic.

The new Scorpio comes with a part-time 4×4 system. The AWD system will come with the diesel version of the SUV. It comes with 4-high and 4-low gear ratios on its transfer case. These modes can be operated using buttons placed either side of a rotary knob featuring the 4Xplore system with terrain select options. The new Mahindra Scorpio-N’s 4Xplore offers 4 modes – Rough Road, Snow, Mud and Water. To improve off-roading capabilities, Mahindra has added manual locking rear differential.
