Mahindra will use the 48cc engine with 210AH lithium ion battery for the eKUV100 that was previewed at the 2018 Auto Expo. This electric powertrain is already used in the Mahindra e20 Plus. It delivers power worth 25.4bhp against 70Nm of torque.

The carmaker’s most expensive SUV project – the Mahindra Aero Coupe – will also come with an electric motor. While the engine details are still under the wraps, it is likely to deliver an electric range of 350km and a top speed of 186kmph.

Just so you know, M&M and Ford Motor Company entered into a partnership for developing two new SUVs and an electric vehicle. Both the companies will leverage the benefits of each other global expertise and market reach. Under this alliance, the brands will also work on connected car technologies and solutions.
