Mahindra Reva has silently introduced a new premium variant of the Reva electric car in India at Rs. 5.72 lakh (on-road Delhi). The new model is equipped with electric power steering and comes with an extended range of 120kms.

The new top-end variant is loaded with several high end equipment including driver information system, infotainment system, and reverse parking camera and assist. The electric car is also synced with smartphone that would display the car’s battery levels, nearby charging stations, and others. Moreover, customers need to pay a monthly energy charge of Rs. 2,999 which in return allows the buyer to driver 50,000kms for a five year period.

Mahindra Reva has also launched a new ownership scheme called Goodbye Fuel, Hello Electric for the e2o. This scheme makes the e2o more affordable by separating the initial acquisition cost of the e2o and the usage cost (battery and its maintenance).

“Convenience of city driving has always been a priority for Mahindra Reva. The e2o is automatic with the smallest turning radius, along with features like the hill-hold, which prevent it from rolling back while on an incline. All this makes e2o an ideal car for urban city commuting. Now with the new premium variant, we are also offering the variable assist electric power steering, taking e2o’s manoeuvrability to next level,.” said Chetan Maini, CEO, Mahindra Reva.
