Mahindra Ready To Reveal New XUV700 SUV – Website Goes Live

Mahindra & Mahindra is getting ready to unveil the much-awaited XUV700 SUV in coming weeks. Ahead of its official debut, a dedicated website of the upcoming 6/7-seater SUV has gone live where interested customers can sign up for the latest updates. The carmaker has already revealed that the Mahindra XUV700 will be the production version of its W601 project that’s slated to launch in the third quarter of 2021 (i.e. between July – September).  Here, it will be put up against the MG Hector Plus, Tata Safari and the upcoming Hyundai Alcazar.

Production of the new Mahindra 7-seater SUV will take place at the carmaker’s Chakan based plant in Pune, Maharashtra. The XUV700 will essentially be spiritual successor of the XUV500. The SUV will share its platform with the new Thar and feature improved design, advanced technologies and more powerful engines than its predecessor. In fact, it will also be bigger and more spacious than the XUV500.

The latest spy pictures reveal that the Mahindra XUV700 will come with dual-tone (Black and Beige) interior featuring leather upholstery and a multi functional flat-bottom steering wheel. It will come with a factory-fitted sunroof along with Mercedes-Benz-inspired dual-screen setup working as a touchscren infotainment system and a fully digital instrument console, wireless connectivity, dual-zone climate control, electronic parking brake with auto hold and a large centre armrest upfront. As mentioned above, the new Mahindra SUV will come with several advanced features including ADAS (advanced driver assistance system), autonomous braking system, a radar system, a 3D panoramic vision for driver and an eyelid tracking mechanism.

The new Mahindra XUV700 SUV will be offered with the new 2.0L turbo mStallion petrol and 2.2L mHawk diesel engine options. The gasoline unit will make 190bhp, thus making it the most powerful SUV in its segment. The oil burner will deliver power close to 185bhp. There will be two gearboxes on offer – 6-speed manual and 6-speed torque converter automatic.
