Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that it will launch its much-awaited Marazzo MPV in India on September 3, 2018. To be available with two seating configurations (7 & 8-seats), the MPV will gun up straight against the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and the Toyota Innova Crysta. Based on the company’s all-new platform, the Marazzo will have the largest footprint of any Mahindra passenger car yet. Besides this, it will also mark debut of an all-new diesel engine.
The home-grown carmaker has confirmed that the Marazzo MPV will be made available with a new diesel powertrain only. While the official details will be revealed near its launch, it is likely to get a 1.5-litre diesel motor with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Inspired by Shark fish, the exterior design of the Mahindra Marazzo appears to be different than typical Mahindra cars. For the record, M&M claims that its new MPV has an aerodynamic design with low coefficient of drag. Some of its design highlights include a chrome-toothed grille, projector headlights, LED DRLs, a shark-fin antenna, multi-spoke alloys and large LED taillamps. The Mahindra Marazzo will be the first-in-industry to get surround cooling system mounted in the center of the roof. The vehicle will also get a large touchscreen system that will be compatible to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Features such as leather wrapped seats, automatic climate control and AC vents, dual-tone dashboard with faux aluminum inserts and large circular dials will also be on-board.
