Mahindra Marazzo MPV To Get Expensive From 1st January 2019

The Mahindra Marazzo will get pricier from Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000.

Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that it will increase prices of the newly-launched Marazzo premium MPV in the range of Rs 30,000 to Rs 40,000. The new price list will be effective from January 1, 2018. The Mahindra Marazzo was introduced in September at an introductory price of Rs 9.99 lakh (for the entry-level M2 variant) and Rs 13.90 lakh (for the top-spec M8 variant). All prices are ex-showroom, Delhi.

Within the first month of its arrival, Mahindra Marazzo clocked over 10,000 bookings. The MPV recorded total sales of 2,829 units and 3,810 units in month of September and October respectively. The carmaker recently introduced the updated infotainment system on the MPV carline. Now, the vehicle’s infotainment system supports both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone applications.

The Mahindra Marazzo is available in two seating layouts – 7-seats and 8-seats – and four trims – M2, M4, M6 and M8. The 7-seater M2, M4, M6 and M8 variants are priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, Rs 10.95 lakh, Rs 12.40 lakh and Rs 13.90 lakh respectively. The 8-seater versions, on the other hand, are available at Rs 10.04 lakh (M2), Rs 11.00 (M4), Rs 12.40 lakh (M6) and Rs 13.95 lakh (M8). Under the hood, the Mahindra Marazzo features a 1.6-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged engine churning out a maximum power of 128bhp against 320Nm of peak torque. The MPV carline gets a 6-speed manual gearbox as standard. The company has confirmed that it will bring in the petrol and AMT iterations of the MPV with the arrival of BSVI emission norms in 2020.
