October 21, 2016 – Mahindra has finally announced the prices of e2o Plus electric car in India. The Mahindra e2o Plus is available in three variants – P4, P6 and P8 – priced between Rs 5.46 lakh – Rs 8.46 lakh ex-showroom, Delhi. The aforementioned prices include all Government incentives. The e2o Plus is the four-door and more powerful version of the e2o (two-door) electric car.
The company says that the name ‘e2oPlus’ stands for energy to oxygen (e2o) and the positive contribution (Plus) that the car will make in the lives of its customers. With a slightly longer wheelbase and two extra doors at the rear, the Mahindra e2o Plus comes as a more practical option for buyers. It’s more spacious, and offers simpler ingress and egress to the rear seat passengers. The luggage area too gets a minor stretch.

Powering the top-spec e2o Plus P8 is a 210AH lithium-ion battery that produces a maximum power of 41bhp at 3,500rpm and 91Nm at 2,500rpm. The power figures, electric range and charging capability of the new four-door model are better than the two-door e2o.
This power unit, with an automatic transmission, offers a range of 140km on a single charge. Though, its charging time has been increased up to 9 hours as against the 5 hours of two-door version. There is fast-charger option that charges the battery to 90% within 90 minutes. One must note that the fast-charger feature will cost extra Rs 6 lakh over the regular price of the car. The e2oPlus receive somes cosmetic updates similar to the other Mahindra products. The car gets revised front and rear bumpers, Scorpio-inspired front grille with chrome finishing around the sides, a different glasshouse, vertically stacked LED tail lights, re-designed tail section and integrated rear spoiler.
The window line has been repositioned before the C-pillar. The e2o Plus is 310mm longer, 61mm wider and 25mm taller than the two-door e2o. It’s wheelbase has been increased by 300mm that translates to a more spacious cabin (over 150-litres). The Mahindra e2o Plus is available in four colour options – Coral Blue, Wine Red, Arctic Silver and Soild White.
The new Mahindra electric car shares its interior design and features with the two-door e2o. While features such as smartphone connectivity with navigation, air con and touchscreen infotainment system are borrowed from the latter one, the car gets a a Blaupunkt infotainment system, keyless system and all four power windows.
