Mahindra & Mahindra has silently launched the power steering equipped e2o in the Indian car market. The company has also introduced a new variant to its lineup i.e Mahindra e2o T20. The e2o is now available in three variants- T01, T2 and T20 out of which, the T2 and T20 comes equipped with an electric power steering.
The new entrant to the Mahindra e2o lineup is priced at Rs. 7.15 lakh, while the other two variants T01 and T2 cost Rs. 5.95 lakh and 6.67 lakh, respectively. All the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi. The company has already updated its official website; however, the pricing for power steering variant might be changed. After receiving customer feedback that the manual steering feels heavy in city driving, the company has introduced the power assisted e2o electric car.
It was speculated that Mahindra will also launch the 4-door variant of the e2o, that didn’t happen. The manual version of the electric car is propelled by a 14.8 kW motor that produces 53.9Nm of torque. It can attain a top speed of 75kmph and can run up to 80km in one full charge. On the other hand, the top-spec model features a 19kW motor that develops 53.9Nm of torque. This model hits a top speed of 81kmph and has a range of 120km in one full charge.
The top-of-the line Mahindra e2o is loaded with features like electric ORVM, infotainment system, music system, Bluetooth, iPod Connectivity, driver information system, High end JBL music system with 4 speakers and 2 tweeters, and reverse parking camera and assist.
