The new Mahindra Convertible SUV will be built on ladder frame chassis and will be powered by a 1.5-litre mHawk Diesel engine.

Mahindra & Mahindra, the homegrown utility vehicle maker had showcased the XUV Aero Coupe SUV concept at the 2016 Delhi Auto Expo. This model was the show stopper at the company’s pavilion. At the upcoming Auto Show, the company will showcase a convertible SUV concept. According to media report, the new convertible SUV will be based on ladder-frame chassis that also underpin the Mahindra TUV300. Normally, convertible cars are built on monocoque platform.

Report further suggests that the model will have a different styling and will carry sporty characters. The Mahindra convertible SUV concept will sit under 4 meter in length. It is quite early to comment whether this model will go on sale in India or not. If a production version is launched, it will classify as a small car for tax benefits.
