3. Mahindra XUV700

With an aim to tap the premium SUV space, the Pune-based carmaker will bring in the Mahindra XUV700 (Rexton in global markets). Reports suggest the XUV700 will be the production avatar of the LIV-2 concept that broke cover at the 2016 Paris Motor Show. In Mahindra’s India product lineup, the XUV700 will be position above the XUV500. Designed on SsangYong’s new-generation body-on-frame chassis, the new Mahindra SUV will feature new grille, LED headlamps with LED DRLs, aggressive bumper and sporty alloys. Inside the cabin, the car might feature a 9.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system with WiFi, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, multi-function steering wheel and a range of advanced safety equipment.

Under the hood, the XUV700 might feature a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that’s good enough for 184bhp and 420Nm of torque. This motor will be linked to a 7-speed automatic transmission. Mahindra also has an option of 225bhp, 2.0-litre petrol engine. Though, it could be introduced on a later stage. 4. Mahindra TUV 300 Plus

Next in our list of upcoming Mahindra cars at Auto Expo 2018 is the 7-seater version of the TUV300. Called the Mahindra TUV 300 Plus, the SUV will be longer and bigger than its donor sibling. With a long wheelbase, the new 7-seater SUV will have more cabin space to offer. Unlike the TUV300 that has jump seats in the boot area, the TUV LWB will feature forward facing third row of seats. Features on offer might include a touchscreen infotainment system, multi information display, auto climate control, etc.

Sitting on the new ladder frame chassis, the Mahindra TUV 300 Plus will share great resemblance with the TUV300. However, its third row glass area will be longer. Powering the new Mahindra 7-seater SUV will be the TUV300’s 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine, which is capable producing 100bhp with 240Nm of torque. Rumours also has that the TUV 300 Plus might share its diesel engine with the Scorpio – 120bhp, 2.2-litre mHawk or get a 1.99-litre diesel motor with Intelli hybrid system.
