India’s largest SUV maker, Mahindra & Mahindra has finally rolled out the much-awaited Bolero+ in the country. Available in a total of SLE, SLX and ZLX, the Mahindra Bolero Mini is priced in the range of Rs 6.59 lakh – Rs 7.57 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). With the launch of Bolero+, the homegrown carmaker currently has four sub-4 metre SUVs. Other three are TUV300, NuvoSport and KUV100

With new Mini Bolero, the Pune-based carmaker aims to target the compact SUV segment that is currently dominated by Hyundai Creta and Maruti Vitara Brezza. With such aggressive pricing, the company wants to target semi-urban and rural buyers.

Under the hood, the mini Bolero gets a new 1.5-litre mHawk diesel engine with micro hybrid technology. Mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox, this engine develops 70bhp and 195Nm. This makes it about 7bhp more powerful than the bigger Bolero’s 2.5-litre version.

4. Mahindra Bolero Mini Exterior
In terms of design and styling, the new Mini Bolero looks quite identical to the bigger version of the SUV. However, Mahindra has cut its its front and rear overhangs (over 170mm) to achieve sub-4 metre length.
This enables the carmaker avail the tax benefits offered to cars below 4-metres. The wheelbase of the mini Bolero, however, remains unchanged at 2,680mm. Most of its body panels and features have also been borrowed from its elder sibling.
5. Mahindra Bolero Mini Interior
Inside, there is a new set of seats for optimising interior space. Features like dashboard and trim have been carried forward from the regular Bolero. Similar to the TUV300 and NuvoSport, the new Mahindra compact SUV has jump seats in the third seat row.
Some key features on offer are digital instrument cluster, driver information system, audio with USB, Bluetooth, CD & AUX support, wood finish central bezel, fabric seats, power steering, power windows for front & rear doors, 12V charging point, voice messaging system, etc.
