The next-gen Mahindra Bolero will be safer and stronger than the current model.

Mahindra & Mahindra, the homegrown UV maker is working on the new-generation models of its existing SUV range including XUV500, Bolero, Thar and Scorpio. The company will first launch the new-gen Thar and Bolero in early 2020. Both these models are likely to be unveiled at the 2020 Auto Expo. The new Mahindra Bolero 2020 will be based on the new GEN3 platform that currently underpins the latest Scorpio and TUV300 SUVs. The current Bolero’s platform is not strong enough to meet the upcoming crash test norms, but the new platform is strong enough to meet the new crash test norms.

The next-generation Mahindra Thar will also share the platform with the Bolero SUV. It is expected that the next-gen Bolero SUV will offer improved drivability and comfort. The new model is expected to look more modern, but will retain the original strong design and character. The SUV is also expected to receive a new 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine, which will also power the next Thar lifestyle SUV.

Mahindra Bolero 2020 Launch Date

It is expected that the next-gen Bolero could make its public debut at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo. A possible launch in the first quarter of 2020 can’t be ignored. We will update you on the same as soon as Mahindra makes an official announcement.

Mahindra Bolero 2020 Price

The next-gen Bolero will be equipped with BSVI compliant diesel engine and new platform. Moreover, it will receive several new safety features as standard. Mahindra Bolero 2020 Specifications

It is expected that the nex-gen Mahindra Bolero could receive an all-new 2.0-litre turbocharged diesel engine. This engine will be compliant with BSVI emission norms and will be offered in multiple states of tunes. While powering the XUV500 and Thar, this engine is expected to return about 180bhp and 140bhp respectively. However, the next-Bolero could receive this engine in lower states of tunes for better fuel efficiency. Power will be transmitted to the rear wheels via a 6-speed manual gearbox. Mahindra Bolero 2020 Mileage

The next-gen Bolero will be based on the stronger GEN3 platform and will be lighter than the current model. Not just platform, the next model will receive the BSVI compliant diesel engine. This engine will be cleaner and more fuel efficient than the outgoing model. We believe that the 2020 Mahindra Bolero could deliver around 16-17kmpl.

It is expected that the next-gen Bolero will retain the original and strong character, which is quite popular among rural India. However, the new model will receive several modern design elements like projector headlamps, LED DRLs and LED tail-lights. The SUV will be based on the new GEN3 platform that underpins the latest Scorpio, which is stronger and lighter than the existing platform. Mahindra Bolero 2020 Interior

The next-gen Bolero is expected to feature the clean and clutter free dashboard design, though it will receive several modern-day features. The SUV will get a music system with Bluetooth connectivity, new seats, new multi-functional steering wheel, new air-conditioning unit, etc. The top-spec model could also be benefitted with a touchscreen infotainment system. Thanks to the new platform, the next Bolero could grow in size to create more space inside the cabin.

The next-gen Mahindra Bolero will be equipped with dual front airbags, ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic BrakeForce Distribution), brake assist, rear parking sensor, seatbelt reminder and speed alert system as standard safety features.
