After launching the Marazzo, Mahindra is all set to launch the Alturas G4 7-Seater premium SUV on November 24, 2018. The Alturas is a full-size SUV to challenge the likes of Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour. Mahindra has officially shared some of the pictures of the Alturas SUV on its official web-page, which reveals the car looks in real world.
In the real world, the Mahindra Alturas G4 looks premium and massive. It has huge ground clearance, massive size and appealing looks. Upfront is the signature Mahindra grille, which is flanked by projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights. For people not in the know, the Alturas G4 is basically the re-badged version of the new-gen SsangYong Rexton G4 which is already on sale in many international markets. Rear profile looks simple, and the design highlights include integrated roof spoiler, LED tail-lamps, massive bumper with silver treatment and chrome lining sits between the tail-lights. The Mahindra Alturas G4 is also available with electric sunroof, which is missing in its closest rival – Toyota Fortuner. The SUV will come in 2 variants – G2 and G4 – in 2WD and 4WD layouts, respectively. The SUV’s cabin is directly sourced from the global Rexton, featuring soft-touch material, premium leather upholstery, electrically adjustable seats with memory function, 3-Zone automatic climate control, etc. It gets a large touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto along with a 360-degree camera. The Mahindra Alturas G4 will come in 5 different colour options – Pearl White, Lakeside Brown, Drizzle Silver, Pearl White and the Regal Blue. Powering the Alturas G4 is a 2.2-litre turbocharged diesel engine that produces 180.5bhp of power and 420Nm of torque. Power will be transmitted to the wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
