Mahindra Alturas G4 Deliveries Begin In India
The new Mahindra Alturas G4 SUV is available in 2 variants – 2WD and 4WD – priced at Rs 26.95 lakh and Rs 29.95 respectively
Homegrown automaker, Mahindra had launched the new Alturas G4 SUV in November 2018. The SUV is available in 2 variants – 2WD and 4WD – priced at Rs 26.95 lakh and Rs 29.95 lakh respectively (ex-showroom, Delhi). The company has already dispatched the SUV to dealerships and interested buyers can book this SUV at a token amount of Rs 50,000. In fact, deliveries of the SUV have also been started at some dealerships.
Mahindra has also created separate zones at dealerships for the new Alturas G4. Called premium World of SUVs, the new Zones are created in the existing dealerships. The Alturas G4 is the brand’s new flagship SUV, which is based on the new-generation SsangYong Rexton. It is essentially the Rexton with Mahindra-like front fascia.
The Mahindra Alturas G4 is powered by a 2.2-litre turbo-charged diesel engine that produces 178bhp of power at 4,400rpm and 420Nm of torque between 1,600rpm – 2,600rpm. Power is transmitted to the wheels via a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
Mahindra Alturas G4 is longer and wider than its direct rival Toyota Fortuner. It measures 4,850mm in length, 1,960mm in width and has a wheelbase of 2,865mm, which makes it 55mm longer, 45mm wider than the Fortuner. The Mahindra Alturas G4 is equipped with several high-end safety and security features. The top-spec model is fitted with nine airbags, hill assist, ABS with EBD, ESP, traction control, rollover mitigation, etc.
