Toyota India has finally launched the all new Corolla Altis in the Indian car market. Unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Expo, the petrol variants and the diesel variants of the New Corolla Altis prices start at Rs. 11,99,000/- and Rs. 13,07,324/- ex Showroom Delhi, respectively.
The all new Corolla Altis also comes with a special accessory package, “The Benchmark Collection”, which includes daytime running lamp and chrome packages. The exteriors of the sedan are blessed with new radiator grille which is flanked by LED headlamps and clearance lamps. Its newly designed wide rear LED combination lamps add to its premium look. It rides on 16-inch alloy wheels, while the vehicle height has been reduced by 5 mm to offer better balance and aerodynamics. At the back, this model gets chrome garnish.
Inside the cabin, the 11th generation Toyota Corolla gets cyber carbon piano black instrument panel cluster, 3-spoke leather steering with bluetooth control, and new design optitron meter with illumination, chrome inside door handles and others. The wheelbase has been increased by 100mm to offer spacious cabin.
On comfort and convenience, this model gets several advanced features. It includes rain sensors, a new 7.0 LCD touchscreen with voice command enabled audio with USB, Bluetooth and Audio. The rear seats can be reclined to offer better seating position, while the rear seat legroom has been improved. The other features include rear reading lamp, rear sunshade and rear power socket. The driving position has been increased
Under the hood, the vehicle gets the 2014 Toyota Corolla gets 1.8-litre, 4-cylinder motor that produces 138bhp and a peak torque of 173Nm. The oil burner gets the 1.4-litre D-4D engine producing 87bhp and 215Nm of torque. Both engines are paired with six speed manual transmission gearbox which transmits the power to front wheel of the sedan. However, the petrol model also gets a seven-speed automatic gearbox.

The 11th generation Corolla is available in five petrol variants- J(S), G, G-CVT, GL and VL (CVT), and four diesel variants- DJ, DJ(S), DG and DGL. It is now offered in seven exciting exterior shades- White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Mica Metallic, Grey Metallic, Blue Metallic, Champaign Mica Metallic, Super White II and Celestial Black.
