Launched: Mahindra Scorpio S9 Variant Priced at Rs 13.99 Lakh
The new Mahindra Scorpio S9 model sits between the S7 and S11 variants.
Further expanding its Scorpio SUV lineup, Mahindra & Mahindra has added a new S9 variant at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The new Mahindra Scorpio S9 model sits between the S7 and S11 variants that cost Rs 13.37 lakh and Rs 15.14 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. Interestingly, the new S9 version is as feature loaded as the S11 variant.
No design and engine changes have been made to the new model. The 2018 Mahindra Scorpio S9 uses the same 2.2L mHawk diesel engine that’s good for 140bhp and 320Nm of torque. Just so you know, the 2018 Mahindra Scorpio S5 and S7 variants are propelled by a same 2.2 turbocharged diesel motor that’s tuned to generate 120bhp with 280Nm of torque. While the S3, S5 and S7 trims are available with a 5-speed manual gearbox, the range-topping S7, S9 and S11 come with a new 6-speed manual transmission. Currently, the base version S3 is available at Rs 9.99 lakh and S5 variant costs Rs 11.97 lakh. The 2018 Mahindra Scorpio S11 4WD has been priced at Rs 16.37 lakh. Talking about the features, the new Mahindra Scorpio S9 comes with a host of features including a 5.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with navigation, automatic climate control, steering wheel with mounted audio and cruise control buttons, ORVMs with integrated turn indicators, cornering projector headlamps, dual airbags and ABS.
