Ford India has finally rolled out the much-anticipated Figo Aspire compact sedan at an introductory price of Rs. 4.89 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Set to rival the Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, Hyundai Xcent, Tata Zest and Honda Amaze, the Ford Figo Aspire is available in four trim levels – Ambiente, Trend, Titanium and Titanium+ – and 9 variants. The compact sedan will be manufactured at the Ford’s Gujarat production plant.

The Figo Aspire has been offered in three engine options – a 1.2-litre TiVCT petrol, a 1.5-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre TDCi diesel. The 1.2-litre TiVCT and 1.5-litre TDCi diesel engine deliver 88bhp with 112Nm and 99bhp and 215Nm respectively. Both the power-mills are paired to a 5-speed manual transmission that helps return fuel efficiency of 18.16kmpl and 25.83kmpl respectively. Whereas, the 1.5-litre TiVCT petrol engine churns out 110.4bhp with 136Nm of torque. It gets a 6-speed ‘Powershift’ dual clutch automatic transmission, and is claimed maximum mileage of 17kmpl.
The Ford Figo Aspire features an aerodynamic design, and looks better than most of its rivals. The compact sedan offers plenty comfort and safety features such as Ford MyKey and Emergency Assistance, SYNC with voice control and AppLink system, 4.2 MFD screen for the infotainment system, leather upholstered seats, 6 airbags , ABS (anti-lock braking system), EBD (electronic brake-force distribution), ESP (electronic stability control), TCS (traction control system), hill launch assist (only on the AT variant), etc.
