Launched – 2019 Bajaj Dominar Gets More Power & New Features!
The 2019 Bajaj Dominar 400 is priced at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai).
After a not-so-impressive first innings, Bajaj Dominar is back with some significant changes in its 2019 avatar. Priced at Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), the 2019 Dominar is about Rs 11,000 pricier than the model it replaces.
Staring with the visual changes, the new Dominar gets two new colour options – Auroral Green (we would like to call it Kawasaki Green :D) and an new all-black matte. Other visual changes include a new side stand (yes, the center stand is still missing), a new twin-exhaust, rear-view mirrors in a new design, and slightly revise mask for the headlight.
But we are happy to report that the biggest change is in its engine. While the engine is still the same 373.3cc, liquid-cooled unit, but it now gets dual overhead camshaft (DOHC) and higher compression ratio. And it now churns out 5 PS more power than the previous model at 40PS, thanks to the re-tuning done to ECU and a double-barrel exhaust. The torque figure remains unchanged at 35Nm, but the peak torque comes in a little early. The 6-speed transmission unit, however, continues to be there with a slipper clutch. And, the 2019 Bajaj Dominar FINALLY gets upside down forks, and reworked rear monoshock, thus offering better ride quality.
So with all the above-mentioned changes, the new Dominar surely has become a much more attractive package than before. But at price point where, buyers have an option to either buy Royal Enfield Thunderbird and new Jawa motorcycles. So it won’t surely be an easy task this time around as well.
