Renault Fluence facelift

French automaker Renault has silently introduced the facelifted version of its flagship sedan Fluence in the Indian car market. Unveiled at the 2014 Indian Auto Show, the Renault facelift gets subtle changes to its exteriors and interiors.

It is offered in two trims, the E2 and E4, which has been priced at Rs. 13.99 lakh and Rs. 15.81 lakh, respectively (all the prices are ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated Fluence gets new grille which incorporates a large Renault badge, restyled headlamps with projector lamps, LED daytime running lights, new bumper design with trapezoidal air-intake, chrome inserts around the side glass-housing and new rear badging. The vehicle also gets a newly formulated 16-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin, the updated Fluence gets a new audio system, a soft touch dashboard, dual zone climate control, centre AC vents with silver surrounds, touchscreen infotainment system with integrated satellite navigation, a digital instrument cluster and an electronic parking brake. On safety front, the sedan gets Anti-lock braking system with electronic brakeforce distribution, ESP (electronic stability program) and parking sensors. The other features include smart key with start/stop button, rain sensing wipers, dusk sensing headlamps, cruise control and rear air-con vents.

The Renault Fluence is now available in two engine options. The petrol version has 2.0-litre petrol engine producing 135bhp and 190Nm of top torque, while the oil burner has 1.5-litre k9k turbocharged diesel engine that produces 130bhp and 320Nm of top torque.
