Launched in September 2015, the Renault Kwid has now completed its two successful years in the Indian market. To commemorate the occasion, Renault India has introduced the second Anniversary Edition of the hatchback. Available across high-spec trims – RXL 0.8L, RXT 0.8L, RXL 1.0L and RXT 1.0L –the Renault Kwid 02 Anniversary Edition is priced between Rs 3.42 lakh – Rs 3.97 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Interested buyers can book the Kwid 02 Anniversary Edition at any Renault dealership across the country. Since, it’s just a special edition, only limited units of the vehicles will be sold. In India, the Kwid hatchback takes on the Maruti Alto 800, Hyundai Eon and Datsun rediGo.

The Renault Kwid 02 Anniversary Edition comes with a host of multiple cosmetic and feature upgrades. This special edition is made available only in two paint schemes – Ice Cool White and Fiery Red. On the outside, the car receives the angular ‘02’ insignia on the bonnet, C-pillar and roof. Features such as new Sportline graphics with 02 Insignia, dual-tone ORVMs, new Sportline front, new alloy wheels and rear skid plates add more to its sporty appeal. Similarly, the interior of the special edition features a bunch new elements including new seat upholstery with the ‘02’ motif, new floor mats, new dual-tone gearshifter, new side air vents and a new sporty steering wheel with ‘02’ lettering. No mechanical changes have been made to the car. Based on the top-end RXL and RXT trims, the Renault Kwid 02 Anniversary Edition is available with two powertrains – 800cc and 1.0-litre. The lower capacity unit makes a top power of 53.3bhp with 72Nm, and the higher capacity motor generates 67bhp with 91Nm of torque. The 800cc version delivers a claimed mileage of 22.17kmpl in city and 22.89kmpl on highways.
