KTM 390 Adventure Bookings Open At Dealership Level
Unofficial bookings of the KTM 390 Adventure have been commenced ahead of its launch in January, 2020. Interested buyers can pre-book the bike by paying an initial sum of Rs 20,000. While official price of the motorcycle will be revealed at its launch, it’s expected to cost around Rs 3 – Rs 3.2 lakh (ex-showroom). Read – KTM To Launch 4-5 New Bikes In India Over 12 Months
Powering the KTM 390 Adventure is the same 373.2cc, single-cylinder engine that does duty in the global-spec KTM Duke and RC. It delivers a maximum power of 43bhp and a peak torque of 37Nm. Transmission duties are carried out by a 6-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. The KTM 390 Adventure also gets ride-by-wire system for better throttle response.
The adventure bike runs on dual purpose Metzeler Tourance tyres fitted with alloy wheels. Its 200mm ground clearance further enhances its off-road capabilities. First previewed at the 2019 EICMA, the KTM 390 Adventure shares most of its design bits with the KTM 790 Adventure.
Upfront, the bike sports a split LED headlamp with LED DRLs (daytime running lights) and a flyscreen. Elements such as metal bash plate, wide handlebars and up-swept exhaust canister add more to its off-road look. It also gets a long step-up and compact fuel tank.
Unlike the global-spec model that comes with the adjustable USD fork, the India-spec KTM 390 Adventure misses out on it. Though, it offers a few segment-first features such as switchable traction control, cornering ABS (anti-lock braking system) and a bi-directional quickshifter.
