KTM 250 Adventure (BMW G310 GS Rival) Launch Price Is Rs 2.48 Lakh

The long-awaited KTM 250 Adventure motorcycle has finally been launched in the country. Positioned below the 390 ADV, the new motorcycle is available at a price tag of Rs 2.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). KTM has already started dispatching the motorcycle to dealerships for customer previews and advance bookings. KTM is also offering EMI scheme, starting from Rs 5,500.

This is the latest entrant in the fast growing affordable adventure tourer motorcycle segment. It will challenge a wide range of motorcycles including the BMW G310 GS and the Royal Enfield Himalayan. KTM 250 ADVENTURE Launch Price

Powering the new KTM 250 Adventure is a 248.8cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine that also powers the 250 Duke. This powertrain is capable of producing 29.6bhp of power at 9,000rpm and 254Nm of torque at 7,000rpm. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox.

The KTM 250 Adventure motorcycle looks identical to the bigger 390 Adventure. The motorcycle has halogen headlamp with LED DRLs (Daytime Running Lamps), while the bigger model has LED headlamps. The motorcycle rides on 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels wrapped in MRD Mogrip Meteor FM2 tubeless tyres.

The motorcycle also misses out on a full colour TFT display. it is offered with an LCD instrument console, which shows details about gear lever position, clock, tachometer, odometer, trip meter and warning texts. It misses out Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Suspension setup of the KTM 250 Adventure is carried over from the 390 ADV. It comes equipped with the 43mm WP Apex front fork (not adjustable) and WP Apex monoshock (preload adjustment) rear unit.

For braking, the KTM 250 ADV gets 320mm front disc and 230mm rear disc. The bike gets switchable ABS with off-road mode; however, it misses out on features like traction control system and ride-by-wire system available in the 390 ADV. The motorcycle has a ground clearance of 200mm and offers a seat height of 855m. It offers 14.5-litres of fuel tank.
