The Kia sub-4-metre SUV will share its platform, components and features with Hyundai’s upcoming QXi SUV.

Kia Motors confirmed that its first product for India will be based on the SP concept that previewed at the 2018 Auto Expo. The production-ready Kia SP concept will be positioned against Hyundai Creta and Renault Duster. While the carmaker hasn’t revealed details about its second product, it’s reported to be a sub-4-metre SUV.

The new Kia compact SUV will take on the likes of Tata Nexon, Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford EcoSport. The Korean carmaker’s sub-4-metre SUV will share its platform, components and features with Hyundai’s upcoming QXi/Carlino concept based compact SUV. The latter one is scheduled to launch by March 2019.
