Kia will launch the much-awaited Seltos compact SUV in India in August 2019.

Korean automaker, Kia will launch the much-awaited Seltos compact SUV in India in August 2019. Two dual-tone units of the Kia Seltos have been caught in cameras in Bangalore. The new spy images reveal 2 different colour cominations on offer. The two options include white body and contrasting orange ORVMs, roof and shark-fin antenna and red body with black ORVMs, roof and shark-fin antenna.

Kia has already revealed the single-tone colour options of the Seltos SUV. It will be offered with different paint schemes including Intense Red, Punchy Orange, Clear White, Glacier White Pearl, Steel Silver, Gravity Gray, Aurora Black Pearl and Intelligency Blue. Kia Seltos Dual-Tone

In terms of proportions, the Kia Seltos 5-seater premium SUV is 4,315mm in length, 1,800mm in width and 1,620mm in height and has a wheelbase of 2,610mm. Compared to the Hyundai Creta, the Seltos SUV is 45mm longer and 20mm wider. In fact, the SUV comes with a 20mm longer wheelbase than the Creta. The Kia Seltos has a ground clearance of 190mm, while the boot space stands at 433-litres.

The Kia Seltos will be offered in 3 engine options – a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder petrol, a 1.5-litre 4-cylinder diesel and a 1.4-litre T-GDI turbocharged petrol. While the petrol engine is good for 115bhp and 144Nm of torque, the oil burner pushes out 115bhp and 250Nm of torque. The 1.4-litre turbocharged engine is capable of producing 140bhp of power and 250Nm of torque. A six-speed manual geabox will be offered as standard. The vehicle also gets 3 automatic gearbox options – a 6-speed torque convertor (Diesel), a 6-speed CVT (1.5L Petrol) and a 7-speed DSG (1.4L Turbocharged).
