Kia Seltos To Get A New Diesel iMT Variant In 2022

Kia Seltos was first launched in August 2019 and received its first update earlier this year. The mid-size SUV has been generating volume for the automaker ever since its market arrival. In fact, it managed to outsell its arch rival and India’s top-selling SUV – Hyundai Creta – in the month of October. Now, the company is planning to further expand the Seltos model lineup with the new diesel iMT variant. According to fresh media report, the Kia Seltos diesel iMT will see a release in 2022. It will come after the company’s much-anticipated compact 7-seater MPV Kia Carens.

Details of the upcoming new Kia Seltos Diesel iMT variant are yet to be revealed. Though, it’s expected to be offered with the HTK+ trim. Currently, the iMT gearbox is available with the HTK+ 1.5L petrol variant only that costs Rs 12.29 lakh. The diesel iMT variant is likely to be priced around Rs 50,000 premium over its manual counterpart. At present, the Seltos HTK+ manual is available at Rs 13.19 lakh. The SUV model lineup comes in the price range of Rs 9.95 lakh – Rs 18.10 lakh. All aforementioned prices are ex-showroom.
