Kia Seltos SUV Variant-Wise Features and Details Leaked
The Kia Seltos will be offered with 3 engine and 4 gearbox options.
The much-awaited Kia Seltos 5-seater SUV is reportedly to be launched in India on August 22, 2019. The official bookings for the SUV will commence towards the end of July 2019. The company has revealed the exterior and interior of the SUV, though variant-wise features and other details have not been made public as yet. Ahead of the launch, a leaked document has revealed the variant-wise features of the upcoming SUV.
The Kia Seltos will be offered with 3 engine and 4 gearbox options. The engine lineup includes a 115bhp, 1.5-litre petrol with 6-speed MT and CVT, a 115bhp, 1.5-litre diesel with 6-speed MT and 6-speed torque convertor and a 140bhp, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The leaked document reveals that the Kia Seltos will be sold in as many as eight variants. While the diesel variants will start with base HTE all the way to the top-end HTX+, the petrol Seltos range will start with the base GTK and GTX+ as the top-end model.
Kia Seltos HTE – this base diesel model will be offered with a 6-speed manual gearbox. Kia Seltos HTK+ – This diesel variant will be offered in manual and automatic gearbox options. It comes equipped with features like projector headlamps with LED DRLs, LED mood lighting, cruise control, smart key with push-button start, Power folding ORVMs and one-touch up and down for driver’s window.
Kia Seltos HTX – Ths manual only variant gets several high-end features like LED headlamps with DRLs, all-LED lights, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, rear reclining seats with 60:40 split, 7.0-inch MID, UVO connectivity features, wireless charging, air purifier and tyre pressure monitoring system.
Kia Seltos HTX+ – Both manual and automatic diesel options will be on offer. Besides aforementioned features, this variant gets 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, 8-speaker Bose stereo sound system, 360 degree camera, driver rear view monitor, ventilated seats, power sunroof, multi-drive modes, VSM, Brake Assist, Hill Start Assist, ESC, Front parking sensors and Blind spot monitor.
Kia Seltos GTK (1.5L or 1.4L petrol with 6-speed manual) – This variant gets standard safety features along with LED lights, 17-inch alloys, LED mood lighting with sound effects, multi-functional steering, Bluetooth stereo, Smart key with push button start, reclining rear seats and rear AC vents.
Kia Seltos GTX (1.5L Petrol with manual or CVT and 1.4L with DCT) – This variant gets 8-inch heads up display, 10.25-inch touchscreen, UVO connectivity features, multi-drive modes, climate control, wireless charging, rain sensing wipers, air purifier, six airbags and tyre pressure monitoring system.
Kia Seltos GTX+ (1.4L Petrol with 6-speed MT) – This top-end variant gets additional features like Bose 8-speaker sound system, 8-way power adjustable driver’s seat, power sunroof, 360-degree camera, ventialted seats, front parking sensors and 17-inch alloy wheels.
