Kia Seltos Records 6,046 Bookings In A Single Day
Kia Motors has announced that the pre-bookings of the Seltos have received an overwhelming response from buyers. The company has recorded 6,046 bookings for the SUV on the first day itself. Kia has opened the bookings for the SUV at a token amount of Rs 25,000. Interested buyers can pre-book the Kia Seltos online or through dealership.
The company claims that the official Kia India website received around 2 lakh hits on 16th. In fact, 1,628 units of the Seltos were booked online in just one day. The Kia Seltos is scheduled to be launched in the Indian market on August 22, 2019. Expected to be priced in the range of Rs 10 lakh – Rs 16 lakh, the Seltos will challenge the likes of the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta and the Nissan Kicks.

The Kia Seltos will be offered in 2 trim levels – Tech Line and GT Line. While the Tech Line will cater to the family buyers, the GT Line will target the enthusiasts. It comes equipped with several segment-leading features like an 8-inch heads-up display, 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system, 8-speaker bose sound system with mood lamp, 360 degree surround view monitor, blind spot monitoring, world’s first connect air-purifier, UVO connect system for wireless communication, etc.
The Kia Seltos will be offered with 3 engine options – a 115bhp, 1.5-litre petrol, a 115bhp, 1.5-litre diesel and a 140bhp, 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol. Transmission options will include a 6-speed manual, a CVT automatic, a 6-speed torque convertor and a 7-speed dual-clutch unit.
