Kia Cerato Sedan Spotted In India For The First Time
2019 Kia Cerato sedan had its India debut at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo.
In 2019, the Indian automobile industry will witness entry of a couple of new car manufacturers including Kia Motors and MG Motor. The Korean carmaker, Kia will begin its Indian innings with a SP concept based premium compact SUV that’s scheduled to go on sale in June, 2019. The trail production of the vehicle is already underway at the company’s Andhra Pradesh based plant.
Recently, the new 2019 Kia Cerato sedan caught on camera during refuelling at a fuel station in India. One must note that there is no clarity whether the Cerato will be a part of Kia’s India product lineup or not. Kia’s premium sedan features the signature tiger nose grille, headlamps with LED DRLs, turn indicators placed on the lower bumper with fog lamp assembly, shark fin antenna, lower air intakes, 17-inch alloy wheels and new LED taillamps. Compared to its old model, the new 2019 Kia Cerato sedan is 81mm longer, 18mm wider and 13mm taller. That means, it also offers more cabin space to occupants along with a boot capacity of 428-litres. The carmaker has also made some significant changes to its interior. The 2019 Kia Cerato sedan gets a new infotainment system and instrument cluster, an updated gear lever, new AC vents and a newly-designed steering wheel. The sedan also comes with dual zone climate control, new buttons and switchgear and keyless entry. At the safety front, the 2019 Kia Cerato sedan offers six airbags, ABS with EBD, reverse parking camera, pear parking sensor and central locking system.
