Kia Carnival MPV Launching in February 2020
After the grand success of Seltos, Kia Motors is now ready to launch its second product in the Indian market. The company will launch the global Carnival 7-seater premium MPV in India in February 2020, during Auto Expo 2020. Kia will also showcase an all-new sub-4 meter SUV, which will go on sale in the second half of 2020.
Kia will launch the facelift version of the Carnival MPV in India. For people not in the know, the company had showcased the MPV at the 2018 Delhi Auto Expo. It will arrive as a CKD unit and likely to cost around Rs 22 lakh – Rs 28 lakh. Also See – Kia Carnival – 5 Interesting Facts
The new model will slot above the Toyota Innova Crysta in terms of pricing. It measures 5,115mm in length, 1,985mm in width, 1,740mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3,060mm. Going by the dimensions, the Carnival is significantly bigger than the Innova Crysta.
The Kia Carnival 7-seater premium MPV will be powered by a 2.2-litre, 4-cylinder diesel engine that also powers the International-spec model. This engine will be upgraded to meet the upcoming BS6 emission norms. It is capable of producing 200bhp of power at 3,800rpm and 441Nm of torque between 1,750-2,750rpm. A six-speed automatic gearbox driving the power to the front wheels will come as standard.
The all-new Kia Carnival MPV will be packed with several high-end comfort and convenience features. The MPV comes with multiple 10.1-inch screens and a premium audio system. Similar to the Seltos, the MPV will receive the Kia’s UVO Connect in-car connectivity suite. The 7-seater will receive a large touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and Voice Command. Other high-end features include three-zone climate control, automatic defog system, adjustable driver’s seat with memory function, wireless charging, adjustable captain seats, etc.
