During January-May 2022, around 138,322 MPVs were sold in the country including Maruti Suzuki Ertiga and XL6, Kia Carens, Toyota Innova Crysta and Renault Triber. Kia Carens Interior Review

Hardeep Singh Brar, Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, said customers got “more liberal in terms of their spending” after Covid. This is reason why sales of Utility Vehicles (UVs) have increased in the country. Currently, Kia Carens has a waiting period of up to 1.4 year (74-75 weeks) for the entry-level variants in some regions. The automaker has been facing an acute shortage of semiconductor chips and constantly increasing demand causing long waiting period for the MPV. Read – Kia Plans To Launch Sonet X-Line Variant
