Kawasaki Motors India has introduced the highly rated Kawasaki Versys 1000 in the country. Launched as a CBU (Completely Built Unit), the Kawasaki’s biggest adventure touring bike in India is priced at Rs. 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune).

The Kawasaki Versys 1000 compete against the Suzuki V-Strom. It features newly developed, appealing horizontal headlamps with an air vent tucked. To further enhance the aerodynamics, the bike features new fairing that offers improved wind protection. The company has tweaked the suspension mechanism to offer better riding experience. It is equipped with 3-way Kawasaki Traction control system and switchable ABS (Anti-Lock Braking System).

The Kawasaki Versys 1000 is powered by a 1043cc, four-stroke, liquid-cooled, in-line four-cylinder and fuel injected engine that churns out a maximum power output of 120bhp and a peak torque of 120Nm at 7,500rpm. This engine is clubbed to a six-speed gearbox which transmits the power to roads. The braking system comprises of 310mm dual discs up front and a single 250mm disc at the rear.
