Jeep has added a new special edition to its European Wrangler 4X4 carline. Called the Jeep Wrangler Night Eagle edition, this limited edition comes with a raft of sporty features and premium equipment levels coupled with Jeep’s signature off-road capabilities. First previewed at this year’s Geneva Motor Show, the Jeep Wrangler Night Eagle edition will cost £39,810 OTR (around Rs 32.96 lakh) in Europe. Since it’s a special edition, the limited units will be manufactured by the American carmaker.
Powering the Wrangler’s special edition is a 200bhp, 2.8-litre CRD turbo diesel engine matched to a 5-speed automatic transmission. The Euro 6-compliant motor is claimed to achieve 0-100kmph in 10.7 seconds, while maintaining a top speed of 172kmph. Its carbon emission figure stands at 235g/km. Coming to the design, the Jeep Wrangler Night Eagle edition receives exclusive decals on the bonnet and rear quarter panels. The body-coloured grille and dual top, mid-gloss black colour accents, Jeep badge and headlamp rings, deep tint sunscreen glass, 18-inch mid-gloss black wheels and hard spare tyre cover further enhance its sporty appeal.
Inside the cabin, the Jeep Wrangler Night Eagle features black MaKinley leather seats with black sport mesh fabric inserts, a black vinyl-wrapped console lid, leather wrapped steering wheel with Diesel Gray accent stitching, front door armrest with Diesel Gray accent stitching, all-weather slush mats, piano black grab handle and vent ring bezels. Features such as a 6.5-inch touchscreen with AUX and USB connectivity and a nine speaker Alpine premium audio system with subwoofer and the Uconnect navigation system come as standard.
The Jeep Wrangler Night Eagle is made available in eight colour options – White, Red, Black, Billet Silver, Granite, Purple, Rhino and Chief. The SUV can be brought either with a black soft-top or a body-coloured hard-top.
